First, count the number of human Earths... then go ahead and attempt to count the number of galaxies in the universe. Then get back to us on quantification of chance.

in all likelihood, most definitely yes. will we ever find proof that other civilizations exist, in our lifetime, or for that matter, the lifetime of humanity itself? probably not.

this just popped up in another forum. I am now completely convinced that there are aliens in our own back yards.

Then consider that there are billions(this # has also been estimated as 200billion) of galaxies. (The Milky Way happens to be a pretty monstrous galaxy, and it's believed we're in the process of swallowing the dwarf galaxy Sagittarius at this moment, meaning that most galaxies probably have far fewer than our estimated 200billion solar systems)But since we can't see all of the galaxies in the universe, (meaning the # of galaxies could be much, much more)I'll go ahead and just multiply those #'s. 200billion * 200billion ________ 40000000000000000000000 40,000,000,000,000,000,000,000-just let that # sit there, because honestly, Id even k what comes after trillion, but that's a rough estimate of how many solar systems there are in our universe. Each and every single one of them have potential for life. Now consider that life is generally nurtured in any place where it is capable of taking place. I don't think Earth even started out with water when it was first being formed. It's believe that ice and water rich comets crashed into our planet billions of years ago, making life possible today. So, timing played a big part in why we're able to enjoy this wondrous life, and there are probably billions of planets that don't currently have life, but will someday. But the point is there are probably billions, if not trillions and trillions of planets out there will life........and yes, intelligent life, some much more intelligent. DH, I'm having a hard time seeing your point because in many posts you've stated that aliens exist without a doubt in your mind, and then you go making a silly statement like 'there is as good a chance of there not being other intelligent life as the chance there is,' I realize you stated that wasn't really your original intention, but I don't understand, do you believe in extraterrestrial life, or not?

That's pretty outlandish, but at risk of being persecuted, I'm forced to recall the part in 2012 Enigma, where D.W. is talking to the guy formerly involved in the Philadelphia Experiment, who while still in the military, said he was going to work every day in an underground base in Mars. You just step into a portal here on Earth, and are tranpsorted to Mars, sounds fuking waktastic, but he seemed totally sincere in the presentation. So yeah, I believe they consistently cover up extraterrestrial phenomena, and while I think E.T.'s can communicate w/ us and do, I really don't think they would have enough trust in the government to make them their contacts. I also believe they cover up info. about inter-dimensional portals, like the one near Hudson Valley U.F.O. sightings and Bermuda Triangle, and obviously they would never want U.S. taxpayers to know their money is going to support some kind of extrasensory weapons inspections to supplement our own C.L.I.A.(ClackofIA), so, imo there's a shiload of stuff going on that we don't know and probably will know about in a few more years.
