And that team hasn't done anything yet either. Admittedly I know very little of his selections outside of Clinton, who was an... interesting choice.

It blows my mind that someone under the voting age of 18 really gives a rats ass about this sort of thing, less the war any of the issues being spoke of really have nothing to do with them. I think perhaps when they become of voting age and Obama has a couple of years under his belt they can probably make a more astute judgement on the issues that matter to them.

For now enjoy being a teenager and take a pretty girl out for a milkshake, I assure you that you have many years to look forward to people stealing your money and the best part about it is that as you get older and make more of it they take more. Think of all the fabulous complaints that can be made then

Seriously kids lighten up, how much of your paycheck is taxed??

If that was to me I am in college and voted this recent election. And I know all about having my money stolen, because, like I said, I'm in college.

It was to no one in particular, just musing over school kids over the interweb thinking that this election is going to have a magnificent societal impact on their lives when they don't even pay taxes. I wonder how optimistic their parents are

They haven't done anything yet? Their seasoned veterans of one of the more successful presidencies in the past 50 years.

"They haven't done anything yet" in Obama's presidency. Better? All I'm trying to say is that people are getting way to far ahead of themselves on both sides of the argument. Just relax and wait until something actually happens.

i am relaxed.

My point was, the condemnation because he's a liberal democrat is better served after the first 6 months.

Haha I think we're on the same side of this argument. The "Just Relax" was directed towards the general public, not you. Judging from his stances and voting record he IS quite liberal, so people who are inherently conservative won't like him, and that's fine. People condemning him are just dumb though... Conservative policies for the most part have gotten this country into a lot of trouble lately, so why do you think he'll make it any worse? At the same time, the people that are ready to crown him as the best president ever are also in the wrong. He hasn't done a damn thing in office yet, so hold your horses America.

I think Clinton has experiences she can draw from, even if it wasn't in peace talks, or trade negotiations.

I have to agree with him on this though, theres is never a bad time to know what the other side is thinking. Occasionally you can find a halfway point.

Like for example, if you thought the majority of Conservatives were against abortion because it was murder, you'd be wrong. Having a conservative in there to note that a large majority of republicans just want state rights.

This is an oversimplified example, and if anyone argues with me on this point I will become the wrath of Thor, but you get my point I'm assuming. That having a deceptive Clinton in there, is more advantagous and less coniving that not having her. She's motivated, and good diplomacy is a great stepping stone for the office.
I was probably being a bit harsh on Clinton but I would've just preferred someone else. I'm glad he did put Richardson in his administration and I can understand why he didn't pick Lugar I just felt there might have been more there that Obama could've drawn from.

I don't think Clinton was a terrible choice for the record I'm just kind of wary about her. She showed great instinct as First Lady when it came to diplomatic situations. I was reading something in Time I think where there was some disgraced foreign leader who later became important again and the US basically didn't have much to do with her but Hillary had tea with her and the leader never forgot that act of kindness.

Obama promised a bipartisan team, something president elects have been doing for god knows how long and never delivering. They might throw a token democrat into Agriculture or Republican into Veteran Affairs but they've never actually followed through on the intention of the promise. Hell Bush said something along the lines of him not seeing party and that he was going to reach across the isle, he didn't. Obama has and that's significant.
