There is no point in replying an more to what everyone is saying in this thread. Just understand you CAN NOT keep doing what I just mentioned, and start posting in the music section airgo reviews, new bands, and feedback. People do not hate you and you are not invaluable. Just have to learn when to call it quits, and start contributing to the Music aspect of the forum. END OF STORY

I don't see how asking you to keep all your rants in one thread and to stop turning every thread into the 'I'm WendyCal and everybody hates me thread' by actually posting on topic for a change is submitting all of your individuality.

i've tried to post as much as i can in the music forums, to try to be helpful, if i can, and to ask questions. But i don't know much about today's music. What kind of review am i going to do?
And, really, if that's one of the requirements of membership, you know, you might want to put it in the sticky's or something, so we'd know. i'm sorry that i seem to attract people that dislike me, but i can't be held responsible for someone elses actions, and if every time i post anything, everyone jumps on the Hate Wendy bandwagon, there isn't much i can do about it, is there? With our elections less than a week away, this is something very near and dear to my heart. We Americans are sort of like that, i guess you've noticed. Or not. |

...but why do all this in a music forum when there are plenty of political forums and chat rooms? That's what baffles me.

Some of us can't vote for either, because we aint American, because the forum aint strictly American and we don't care about a certain percentage of Americans who end up making the rest look and sound bad.

I've heard a few people bash ethan for "abusing" his mod powers, despite the support he's gotten in this thread. I can't imagine why, as he has merely been doing what what most of the other posters on the board are too apathetic to do.
Yes, ethan had thrown around some insults in the political **** shows started by wendycal. It was no more or no less than I and others had said, and yet because he is a mod, he gets the slack for it. Fair enough, mod's are supposed to be unbiased and level headed. However, I've seen every single mod here since almost the beginning of this board throw insults at other members in music threads, and yet it has never created such a backlash as this. Ethan has done nothing but attempt time and time again to bring a debate that had turned into a load of crap since wendycal started posting back to some kind of sense. When other people got bored and tired of trying to reason with nonsense, he kept on at it. Lastly, this is primarily a music forum. I'll be the first to admit that I have posted less and less on the music forums over the years, yet I've started posting again because I've noticed a sharp decline in the annoying fanboy mentality that started a while ago. Wendycal however has posted nothing of value to the music forums. Want to talk politics and only politics? go on to all the other boards you supposedly post on. Want to learn about music? you've come to a great place. Browse through the threads and soak up information until you feel like posting. But don't clutter up the lounge and ruin any sensible debates and remain completely inactive in any other area under the guise of "not knowing much modern music," which is a complete copout, since, in case you haven't noticed, a huge chunk of the discussion is about bands who were in their prime twenty or thirty years ago. That's great that the elections are "near and dear to your heart," but no one on this boards wants to have propaganda being constantly shoved down our throats. There are members here who are great at debating, the Unfan, jayjamjah and ethan are among the best in my opinion. Even though I disagree with basically everything the Unfan says, its fun to see his posts because it pretty near guarantees an interesting debate will follow. Despite how heated our arguments have gotten, to my knowledge neither of us have gotten a PM from any mod asking us to stop. There's a very good reason for this. This isn't a democracy, you aren't given the luxury of free speech if it annoys the f*ck out of everyone else here and devalues any attempt at a debate. Suck it up.
