Roosevelt is too long ago ~ another age and generation. And for you 'news' fans:

Clinton??? Oh, yeah, i know i'd vote for him, if he ran again... NOT.

And when someone was able to deliver even 1/3 of the 'promises?'

Did their party hold one of the houses?

btw, the whole real estate collapse? Started with a policy that Roosevelt instated, that Clinton cut the reins loose on, and that Bush finally gave up on as abject stupidity. Bush really cut everyone loose, JUST AS THE DEMS WANTED. The dems that control BOTH of the houses. Yeah.

We've already had this conversation, all you have to do is click a few pages back and be baffled at how wrong you are. Next?

And THAT is so... naive.

They change stances as the money falls, to quote a poem here.

Follow the money trail. It doesn't lie, and if it tries to? It's pretty easy to figure out.

It's intertwined ~ you can't separate it. Sad, but true.

Here's a link to McCain's votes:

How is being popular hurting the economy. Can you please show the steps? Otherwise...

If y'all would post up a link to Obama's votes, please?

Thanx!

Okay, well, my transcript is just about ready to go...

It's to do with how other countries PERCEIVE the political sitch here, dude.

If they think we're about to go down the tubes, they're going to pull back ~ sort of like they are doing, right now.

No links, no transcripts, no nothing?

yeah

What are you talking about, transcripts? I'd rather have a 35 year old liberal genius then an experienced nazi general (not a comparison between Obama and McCain).

Stances are much more important to me than experience, as long as the candidate has some political history and management. I don't oppose Palin because she has very little experience as a politician (even less than Obama) but because her stances legitimately scare me.

I think McCain, despite voting for Bush quite often, is fairly moderate.

(not a comparison between Obama and McCain) ~
You're not dealing with them, now. i can actually understand a sentence, without trying to extropolate it into some sort of gibberish.

Man, are you even old enough to vote?

(Can't resist ~ And when they ask you for ID? Try telling them that you've posted it online and had it checked out by joe blow, so how DARE THEY affront your sensibilities by asking for something such as that. THEN, come back here and let us know how you voted.)

Their 'stances' don't mean a thing, if the house AND sentate are controlled by the other side. They will have go with the flow. You know, like, whenever there's a dem in office, the dems in the house and senate try to stand behind him. What do you think happens if it's lopsided?

Yeah, it would be called democracy, in action.

You talk with your parents and seem to have a pretty good relationship with them. Do you talk to them about politics? There really IS something to be said for experience, and they've been through this before, so they would be a really good place for you to start. Supplement that with what you learn and see, and places that you go online for info ~ nothing wrong with a family debate, and you would wow them, i just know it!

Oh. Also, you might want to see my newest post about the WMD's. Might make a diff in your feelings about McCain going with Bush more than not.
