Arguing that a moderate situation or stance will lead to an extreme situation or stance. For example if you were to say "having nuclear weapons is bad because you will eventually use them and bring about world destruction" that would be a slippery slope. Ownership is not the same as use and its highly illogical to argue that owning something potentially dangerous will necessarily lead to a dangerous outcome.
