I have an extreme, genuine hatred for Sarah Palin.
So me and my British friend, who's into American politics apparently, had a discussion about the VP debate, the first one. Second one's on tomorrow here. In this discussion, my friend sides with Palin. I blatantly do not.
Loz = my friend
Lex = me.

She didn't answer the questions, I don't think... 4 days before the debate, she spent those 4 days at McCain's house where his advisors were giving her lessons on how to not fall on her ass during the debate, I recall reading this was the first debate she ever did... she did well in that regard. But, I hate the republican views, even if she didn't really portray them because she didn't answer questions LOL. She concentrated wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much on trying to identify with the "American people", she winked, I strongly dislike that... just, very very cocky, in irony of what she was trying to do. I mean, she was dropping her g's and shiit, jesus...
I don't like what they plan to do with taxes, etc. And what pissed me off as well was BOTH Biden and Palin's/Obama and McCain's views on *** marriage. other than that, i just dont like her LOL. she is a milf, no doubt, but id rather have the young black guy teamed with the experienced old white guy, id rather have democrats... because, being an american, i am terrified of what another republican would do to this country. theyre saying the 2000s, for america, has been equivalent to the great depression of the 20s. what Biden meant when he said "this will be the most important election you've voted in since 1932" was that, that was when we elected FDR into the white house to get us out of a depression. the stock market just doesn't crash like that, it takes years and years of neglect of middle class economics, and giving a leg up on big business that doesnt need a leg up. mccain/palin want to help out the exxon mobils of the world? we cant take that yet again.

What I liked was she still stayed herself though, she spoke in the way she always does and she winked and **** but I really don't see anything wrong with that. She knew it would endear her to people.. albeit probably mostly "rednecks" but thats what its all about. Trying to appeal to the majority isn't it? And about not answering the questions and speaking "directly to america" - another thing which would make her appealing to a hell of a lot of people. Also, I hear the... I don't even know what to call her. That black woman asking the questions. Anyway, she has written a book in which Obama is included. I hardly think thats fair, if I was Palin I'd probably have done exactly the same thing. I'd have said what I wanted America to hear, than bother with these daft questions. Great opportunity to drum up more support that could have been ****ed if she'd just stuck to the questions asked. Another thing about Biden, I hear he wasn't even an Obama supporter until the chance to become VP came up? I don't actually know if thats true though. And him and his 14 lies and inaccuricies. 30+ years in politics should have taught him better than that.
I don't agree with their views on *** marriage either. I'm glad it was cleared up though, that Obama DOES NOT agree either like some people have spouted out!
Its ridiculous that because basically, she is a MILF and people don't believe you can be smart and pretty. She isn't the idiot shes being made out to be, and even if she was she doesn't deserve all the "bitch", "slut", "stupid", "only good for sucking ****" comments i've saw on perez hilton etc. Its actually sickening how sexist everyone still is, nobody sexualized or objectified Hillary Clinton did they? Dude, a t shirt with McCain shagging Palin up the arse with the words drill baby drill? Thats so disrespectful to her and unecessary.

I personally would never reelect a republican, not the way the country is today... i know the woman, the black woman debate-prompter, her name was Gloria I think? anyhow... yes she wrote an Obama endorsement book. i could totally see how thats viewed as a biased debate, totally. but in retrospect, everybody at that things biased... because they're all politicians. yknow?... i dont really think the questions were daft... i mean, most of them during most debates are, or have been in the past, like the Bush/Kerry, Bush/Gore debates back in early 2000s... but lately, the first prez debate Obama/McCain and the VP debate we're talking about... these are issues that are significant to america. especially our suffering economy. the war and the oil and the big business/wallstreet going under has a greaaaaaaat deal to do with the economy, imo. and thats basically what the questions revolved around. minus the education one & the *** marriage one. i dont really like them backing funding for No Child Left Behind because that program is pure bull****. it keeps everyone learning at the same level, so the stupid stay stupid and the smart are dragged down. im very anti-structural learning.
i always saw it as people picking on her because few people like her... but you have a point. people generally dont think someone can be smart and pretty at the same time. i dont really know what to say about the tshirt. i agree its disrespectful, but Sarah Palin hasn't earned my respect. so, i remain neutral. haha... mmnn, no, no one objectified Hillary Clinton in that way... but people still tore her to shreds on other notes. whoever is in that office, the white house, on the stand, what have you... will always be in the spotlight. everybody will find something to dig at. we wouldnt be americans if we couldnt sit at home and rip on the president.
