We went back there and they had come and hacked off every inoculated arm. There they were in a pile. A pile of little arms. And I remember... I... I... I cried. I wept like some grandmother. I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget. And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that. |

God ? I think humans created god because they didn't know how they were created, what happens after death, why are they here...
Humans believe in god to don't worry about death, to have someone to talk when they are alone... I can tell he exists in a certain way. Not in concrete terms, but in every catholic, muslim, buddhist, deist or whatever's heart. The bad thing about religion is what people DO with it : make war, kill people who don't believe what you beleive, forbid a lot of things... A lot of people are stupid in this way, because they think they KNOW everything about "god". For me, everything about god must be personal. I think deism is the only "good" religion. |

I was sent to a Catholic school for 5 years. There I learned about Bible stories and the names of different saints, really all I can remember about the religious studies. It seems to me that even the though the concept of a man/god, dying for my sins sounds absurd, in the back of my mind the belief of that just stays with me, always has. All this talk of why a god couldn't possibly exist makes sense to me and yet I still find myself believing. I can't properly explain "This is why I believe in god" I just do.
