Examples of Racism in America
Barack Obama has his largest leading in Presidential exit polling since he and Mccain became the two candidates listed as choices. Oprah Winfrey is the highest grossing TV star in the country Will Smith is the Highest grossing film star in the country Tiger Woods is the top grossing athlete in the country African-Americans made the highest jump in average annual salary of any ethnic group in the country in 2007. America is so racist.

Well since you think Obama shows America isn't racist at all anymore I have two questions. Why do people still ask "Is America ready for a black president?" Do you think people would accuse him of being a secret Muslim if he was white? And expanding on that Muslim thing don't you think the fact people would consider him being Muslim a big deal says alot about how prejudice America is? Racism really isn't much different then hating someone because of their religious choices.

Question Two: I think it has a whole lot more to do with the fact that his name is Barack Obama then it does with his skin color. I don't think the mindset (between racism and religious intolerance) is any different no, but I've never denied the existence of religious intolerance as a problem in America and elsewhere.

Don't you think the following questions are by far more important: Are we ready for a stupid present? Are we ready for a president with a terrible medical history, showing some signs of memory loss and isn't too far from death? Call me oldist, but McCain isn't a young buck anymore and Bush wasn't the brightest bulb in the box.

However the US has had stupid presidents and has had sickly presidents. FDR's last two terms he was just waiting to die and Hell W.H. Harrison died weeks into office. All I am saying is that I think it's the fact that it's new that interests people, not the fact that it's a black or female candidate.

Oh yeah, a handful of wildly successful black people with mass appeal certainly proves that there's no such thing as racism against lower class minorities in America.
![]() And I'd like to know where you got that last statistic from, since I haven't heard anything like that said anywhere. |

this whole thread is ridiculous, or at least the first part.
