The politician I loved was someone who got absolutely no recognition whatsoever, poor guy - Mike Gravel.

So I suppose if you're asking between Obama and McCain, though I really don't like either of them, and I hated Hillary... I'd choose Obama. Because, he's not a republican, honestly. Yeah he'll get shot at the inauguration, but hey, we tried.

Palin's daugher made me LOL though. I heard that when I was over at PaperHurricanes and we both broke down laughing.

To be honest (its sad but true) that's what elections come down to for lots a people. Who they dislike the least, or who they DONT want to win.

@SleepyJack: I dont think many do.

I can't believe she actually talked shit on community service. I mean I understand she's trying to look like she's more experienced then Obama but seriously? That was bullshit.

Agreed. What bothers me most is her and McCain have met like twice in there political lives. Just proving that everything bunch of BULL**** coming out of ither of there mouths is fabricated by someone behind a desk working hand in hand with the republican party trying to get votes.

And dont get me wrong, I am not bashing the republican party, only the 2 clowns heading it atm.

edit: And 6 votes for F U RezZ? Ouch

sleepy jack 09-05-2008 07:06 PM

I'm bashing the republican party. John McCain said he voted with George Bush 90% (or maybe it was 95%?) of the time and they're running around saying they're going to bring change? What kind of a douchebag is Mitt Romney anyway? He was bitching about a liberal Washington and how the problem with America right now is the direction the democrats have taken in...newsflash it hasn't been them in the White House for the past eight years dipshit. I don't understand how smacking Bush 2.0 (but older with memory AND health problems) and some neo-con asshole who can't make up her mind in charge is going to bring about change.

RON PAUL: A NEW HOPE

Eugene Debs > Ron Paul, Obama and McCain. Bring someone useful back from the dead Jesus.

I agree with you. In my opinion, democracy doesn't work. It's not even our votes, it's the popular. Our votes are there just to appease us.

Yes maybe so, but its the closest we can get to perfection and direct voter say.

sleepy jack 09-06-2008 10:10 AM

It's not yes maybe so, it's no you're wrong. Gore won the popular vote and still lost.

Even with 20% of the popular vote he earned zero in the electoral college. The way the college is currently set up (i.e. controlled entirely by Democrats and Republicans voting down party lines in a winner-take-all system) it's virtually impossible for a third party candidate to ever stand a chance of winning.
