In order for the system to work certain good faith common sense measures have to be honored. Ridiculous ideas like the president can impede any investigation he doesn’t like or can pardon himself and so on cannot be accepted as normal policy. Clearly, Trump has gone rogue and has openly and flagrantly broken the law. So far, he’s getting a pass. If Americans accept this state of affairs or are placated by Mueller’s pathetic response then we go deeper and deeper into this dictatorship.
First off - the first half of what you said is spot on, and I don't disagree with you. He isn't above the law, and that's why him and all of his administration and ties to Russia are being investigated. While what you say about there needing to be good faith/common sense measures is true, that also includes due dilligence and getting the charges right. Like I said, I think there's some deniability that Trump has in facing criminal charges for firing Comey, and Mueller is aware of that.

If that’s the case then I want to make a plea to the UN to send troops into Florida. Use drones and smart missiles. It’s a complete ****show here. We’re decimating the environment. Shorelines and swamplands have been destroyed. We had the worst oil spill in human history. Wildlife is going extinct. We’ve had horrifying mass shootings and huge swaths of land are unlivable due to corruption and crime. We’re even actively participating in our certain demise by ignoring all signs of global warming even as we’re literally going under water. Clearly we are unfit to govern ourselves.
The difference between the two things is that there isn't a large military group attempting to seize Florida.

Yeah, who doesn't want it to stop other than the dumbasses who voted for him? Where you're wrong is in advocating for unilateral action without due process, and also for not minding whether the Russians are ****ing with our elections.

"Democracies can fall even while holding elections" is the worrying take-away from this Yale lecturer's analysis of recent history:-
Other more-or-less quotes that impressed me:-
Guy:- Trump is the first American politician to say that he may not accept the election result. He is the first American politician to encourage acts of violence against his political opponents. Interviewer:- But isn't democracy in the US unassailable? Guy:- It's important not to be complaiscent. Eroding trust in the media makes it difficult to determine what's true, but if you become cynical about everything, you also become powerless about everything.
