What the hell kinda incompetent **** is that? People who don't have guns or anything are getting killed by police all the time, and even the FBI is doing it. Worse yet is that this is someone who was kidnapped and wanted nothing more than to go home.

Yup, and boy did that get dropped from the news discussion fast, and never once did I see the media narrative say anything about how much the police ****ed up.

I read this story and started crying. Makes me think of Anne Frank.

An ex-coworker and good friend of mine was born in Columbia. She was in the US for decades, legally worked full time, paid her taxes, married and raised a family here.

Somewhere along the line she forgot to cross a T or dot an I and she was arrested at the San Diego airport while trying to fly back to Columbia to visit family. Her eldest son was in the US military at the time.

She was locked up in a ****ty detention center for about a month while the courts went over her case. She's petite and very attractive and was abused pretty badly during that time.

A bunch of us wrote letters to the court on her behalf, pleading the case that she was a model US citizen with a child serving the country. All to no avail. She got deported back to Columbia and didn't get back into the US and her family for over 3 years.
