I watched the PBS interview with Alec Baldwin. This is why white males should just embrace the role of oppressor. No matter what you say, you’ll be cast as the bad guy. As a white male, I say we appropriate the words “racist” and “sexist” the way blacks appropriated the word “nigga” (which is exactly the same as ******) and homosexuals “queer”. Reclaim the empowerment of the terms of empowerment “Whaddup racist?” “Yeah, you know me!”
Baldwin tried to open the discussion in a sincere, honest way in an effort to try to root out the problem. Instead of discussion he gets a crucifixion. Why play that game? If people want to work together, I’ll work together. If people want to fight, I’ll fight to ****ing win.
