Since 1921, the lake has also been known by a much longer name having 45 letters comprising fourteen syllables: Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg.
I just refer to it as "Webster Lake." ;)

Just imagine the amount of spittle you'd have to wash out of your hair if someone said its full name in front of you!

What's weird is that they both have the letter "G" in their name. To quote TH himself, "Makes you think."

I remember one time in elementary school there was a story about like...why Chinese people have short names? I don't really remember, but the kid had a long ass name and one part was "peepee". Good times.

HaHa! Me and my friend got into trouble for laughing in Geography class when we found "Brown Willie" on a map of Cornwall. We were about eleven I think.

a couple ones from around here

Not that tough, it's "school - l + cull" /sko͞o kəl/ /ˈskuːkəl/

"Schuylkill River" is Dutch, meaning hidden river with hidden pronunciation.

How do black mothers name their kids? They use the most idiotic sounding word they can think of and then add a Q and an apostrophe.
