I have only ever heard it pronounced like "loss" for both, with a few exceptions for Los Angeles being pronounced like "lose".

Coming from a country that invariably pronounces Worcestershire as "Woostah", I'm not in a position to criticise.

I come from a country (Massachusetts) that pronounces the city or Worchester the exact same way!! :p:
