It's clearly a non-story that the broke ass NFL is latching onto for relevancy and the president is latching onto it to get eyes off of what his mouth points at North Korea.

Cultural shifts can be very important. Health care and NK and the Russian investigation are obviously way bigger direct impact stories but social attitudes lead to actions. I don't care that Goodell issued a statement scolding POTUS in and of itself but what that says about where people's heads might be is interesting to me.
