I live here. There were two incidents. Today is the first gorgeous day we have had ( sunny with no wind) so alot of people were out walking and shopping. First , there was the shooting report in a really popular area called Fridhemsplan (15 minutes by subway from Drottninggatan) . The second involves a stolen beer truck that drove on the biggest shopping street in Stockholm into a big store called Ahlens ( like Bloomingdales). If he had gotten farther onto the front side of the building, he would have driven right into one of Stockholm's most popular street corners. They locked down the city direct after and many who live in the suburbs could not get home. I had to ring parents of the kids I work with just to see if they were OK and to see if they had arrangements to pick up their kids since there was no public transportation and people were told not to go outside. Many were not allowed to leave their offices and had to get family to drive down to them outside the city to get them.
I went home to my family after. What a messed up world we live in. I wonder if Donald Trump has started his " See I told You so" rant yet.
