That was the second bit, the first bit was about the burqa. And the point remains the same.

This makes it sound like you were talking about Muslim women as a whole, like DJ was with his converse opinion.
I'm not talking about Muslim women as a whole. Deej was though, and said it was bs and they could just take it off if they didn't want to wear the burqa. Some can but some cannot. That's all I was saying.

Semantics, some are forced to wear particular items of clothing whether they're burqas or hijabs. But you think that's bs.

Burqas

Hijabs

Equating them is pretty silly.

Yes, I did say that but I do agree with the point that Frownland was making with this quote.

So basically you're saying you hate religion. That's fine. I do, too. I don't believe in God, certainly no organised religion. But here's the important part: some people do, and it's not up to you or I to tell them they can't worship in any way they please. Whether they're right or wrong makes no difference; it's their decision. You just come across as an over-opinionated and completely intolerant, and quite frankly unlikeable person when you espouse what amounts to completely ignorant and biased opinions, and use them to perhaps justify or at least condone the restriction of religious freedoms for others.

What you're saying then, is that everyone who follows a religion in which A SMALL VIOLENT MINORITY practice terrorism and outrages, is responsible for those outrages that they never took part in (and that most condemn and are are shocked by as anyone), just because they worship the same god or follow the same religion? If a Christian Fundamentalist group blow up an abortion clinic, is this then the fault of all Christians? Again, I just want to be clear that I understand you. I get that you hate religion, and I don't blame you. But to place the responsibility for the acts perpetrated by ISIS et al on every person who follows that religion is just ... well, words fail me, they really do.

Yes.

I'm not mincing words. The problem is people believing stupid ****.

Step one: Believing stupid ****
Step two: Doing stupid ****

Or if you like:

Step one: Being a moron
Step two: Acting like a moron

Don't get all pissy just cause the doctor gave you six months to live after your altar boy AIDS finally kicked in.
