Have you been following the Derrick Rose case? He's a professional basketball player who is dealing with a similar scenario. It's not 100% clear that he's innocent, but it's certainly starting to look that way and the case almost got thrown out recently. Shame that stuff like this happens just because somebody is looking to make a name for themselves.

Hopefully something a little better, to be honest.

Has he been convicted? Not familiar with this.

It's great seeing all the bellends on Twitter who were so matter of fact that he was 'guilty in a court of law and that's that!' suddenly saying the jury must have got this one wrong and he's still a rapist.

That's the issue with modern society. We're obsessed with victims. So much so that we stand for the victim before we realize that the victim is noting more than a faker.

Well... I think that's a stretch. There's still an issue with the percentage of accused rapists who are actually convicted. I think it stems from the inability victims have to discuss the matter, and the fact that it can take years before they're comfortable enough to discuss it. I don't have any idea how that could be fixed, but ideally it would be great if it became something that could be more easily reported so that the investigations could begin much earlier.

I'm not saying that rape doesn't happen or saying that all people accused of it aren't guilty. But way too many cases are being reported where the girl lies about it and ruins someone's life in the process.
