Now I know how Gary Glitter fans feel.

This sums it all up to be honest. That line could just as easily read:

"Protesters have argued that anything that hurts their delicate little feelings should be banned outright, and will continue to ignore common sense and logic until then."

lol. So do they want to change what graduate degrees are called as well?

Um excuse me? Degrees? As in it takes a certain number of degrees to make it warm enough to make my pale white skin red? As in redskins? As in the WASHINGTON Redskins?

I never took you to be such a racist asshole, Janz.

I'm an 'assume innocence' kinda guy. There's enough examples of false claims to lead people to air on the side of caution, especially without any evidence proving guilt. Pointing out his whiteness (as opposed to Thomas Sayers Ellis, who she also accused of sexual harrassment) was kinda alarming too. Hints at an ideological undertone.

I certainly hope for innocence, but since I don't have any evidence for either side really, I can't say I'm assuming either way.

Good riddance. As much I love punk, the 70's, Ramones, and the stereotypical clothing style/attitude are all dark spots for me. I can handle a patch-ridden vest and combat boots but the whole street punk look is just... ew why. Anti fashion is still fashion. If you saw me in the street you probably couldn't pick me out from anyone else.

Yeah, the whole idea of punk seems to be against what punk became. As far as I'm concerned, and as much as I like plenty of punk bands, post-punk is what punk really became. Becoming something truly different and not falling into the traps of preconceived notions of what a band should sound like are what post-punk was all about and what punk was NOT about after the first wave or two.

All punk post 70's was more punk in every way. Hardcore, post-hardcore, skate punk, whatever. The key to punk is to not take yourself too seriously and have fun producing music. Bands like Ramones and Sex Pistols just didn't think outside of the Maximum Rock n Roll mindset. It's self parody is what it is.

Granted, Clash and Buzzcocks are great.
