I don't get it, the cop got charged with first degree murder. How does that play into the other cases? Seems like the system is kind of working there.
Thing is it took a whole year and some tough digging by the DAs office to get it done because of the whole police code of silence thing. The thing came close to being swept under the rug. There were witnesses present including one woman who actually pleaded with the cop to stop shooting the kid. As other cops arrived they basically forced them to leave the scene before the press showed up. All of the other cops firmly stood behind their "brother" and tried to make it the dead guy's fault.
Warning, pretty damn disturbing. FF to 5:00. Cop shot the guy 15 times while he was already down.
Note the first shot which put the guy down was to the head. The cop then peppered the guy's entire body.
How'd this take over a year to prosecute with that kind of evidence available immediately after the shooting?

Okay so the issue is it taking a long time. That is different. A long investigation is better than no investigation though. Justice is sloooooooooooooooooow.
