Interesting, Florida ranks 30th in guns per capita. Connecticut (Sandy Hook) is 25th. Colorado (Aurora) 20th. Illinois (Chicago) is 35th, California 40th, and New York is 50th.
Wyoming has 19.2 times more guns per capita than Florida yet only averages 1.4 times more gun related murders. So is the issue the number of guns? |
Wyoming has a much smaller and spread out population. Booooo bad stats
|
This will never end until America stops seeing the middle class as an ideal, but as a cultureless disease that offers human beings nothing but sterile consumerism. I mean taking away the guns might stop the killing, but that's just a band-aid for the underlying existential nightmare.

There's 33.6 times more people in Florida than Wyoming, yet Florida only has 1.8 times more guns. Not trying to make a point. Just adding some numbers to the mix that seem to contradict the "more guns = more mass shootings" narrative. |

So it isn't just another school shooting, it's another right wing extremist shooting. 71% of extremist acts of terrorism in the US comes from right wing extremists. So why are we so afraid of Muslims?
|
Because of lot of people tell us to be.

BBC describes him as a depressed loner. Doesn't say anything about it being political or terrorism. |
It is quite plainly terrorism just like every single civilian mass shooting.

I wonder who sued Google into that decision.

Nineteen school shootings within two months, as well as the rest of the mass shootings in public places.
A teen can't buy a can of beer but he can legally purchase an AR15. ''It's all about mental health, this discussion shouldn't regard the concept of US gun laws being changed'' https://christianrusso.files.wordpre...palm.jpg?w=584 |
Can't buy a chocolate Kinder Egg either. I think it is unsafe?

My impression of the international reaction to events in the US is unlikely to be aligned with reality. You’d have to deeply study the foreign media to even hazard a guess. But I still have a take based on what I’ve seen. I used to watch Japan’s NHK news, Germany’s Deutsche Welle, Al Jazeera, BBC and the PBS News Hour. I had a cable news package that included English translation. It also had some more East Asian shows as well, South Korea, China, and Indonesia - I think. After 9/11, I found to my surprise that Al Jazeera was the most pro-American foreign news station. But to me there was always a kind of snarky bitterness toward America, especially from the BBC... until Sandy Hook. And after Sandy Hook when we remained stuck in the same rut the tone became more sorrowful and empathetic. We’re like a neighbor who used to be a rich ******* who’s now wandering around homeless muttering to ourselves. People are saying they want our schools to have the same security as our airports. As a former teacher, that’s just ****ing heartbreaking man. https://m.lasvegassun.com/news/2018/...b-rooms-daily/ Caesars says they’re going to check rooms even with Do Not Disturb signs. I don’t think I’m being trite when I say laying around naked all day with your drugs on the table in Las Vegas is an important freedom. For me, hanging that do not disturb sign on the door in Vegas was a ****ing rite of passage. I don’t want people insisting on barging in when I’m getting blown by a crackhead transvestite. I’m not joking, either. If you can’t have privacy in a casino hotel in Vegas we’re really losing it. |

ICE nabs 195 criminal illegal immigrants during workplace inspections in Los Angeles
You know every time I hear people push for stricter immigration, it's coupled with fears of how terrible MS-13 is and how they're revolutionizing prison gang structures in a bad way (which is true). Given that, why does the Gestapo seem to think that drug lords want to work a midnight shift at 7/11? Why aren't the businesses being shut down for not abiding by minimum wage laws? What about the half of the group that had no criminal history or known affiliations with criminal behaviour, how long will they be held in ICE's concentration camps? I know someone who's been in holding with his whole family since No****ingvember for getting caught at a checkpoint with no sign of deportation, release, sentencing, court date, nothing. I'm told that this is "common sense" immigration. |
