Today's Unbelievable News: Apple is framing itself as even more of an enemy of the people than previously thought possible.

To coincide with the launch of their late-to-the-game streaming service, Apple is pressuring labels to cut off all free-account licensing to their competitors, suggesting Apple would pay Universal Music the fee it normally receives from YouTube if the label agreed to stop allowing its songs to be on YouTube for free.

Apple's efforts are said to have caught the attention of the US Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission, who are said to be looking closely at the company's business practices around music streaming.

I'd say this was in the wrong thread, but as far as I know there isn't a "Wow I Can Totally Believe that News Story" thread. I guess some people might be shocked, but there isn't much that surprises me about religious extremism in Afghanistan. If it weren't for the fact that the Taliban have proven to be a threat to American civilians, I'd say let them have that ****hole country. They ****ing deserve deserve each other.

If Steve Jobs were running Apple and they were desperate to get into music streaming, they would NOT do it like this. This is an immoral way to get edge for Beats Music which in itself is overrated.
