I think they should all give themselves titles like Idi Amin did so it's more obvious who is, in fact, a dictator:

"His Excellency, President for Life, Field Marshal Al Hajj Doctor Idi Amin Dada, VC, DSO, MC, Lord of all the Beasts of the Earth and Fishes of the Sea and Conqueror of the British Empire in Africa in General and Uganda in Particular."

I thought it was Scotland, per the Forest Whitaker movie?

Nope, I read in the Newspaper.com archives somewhere that he had claimed to be the King of England, though I suppose Scotland would have been included in that in his mind.

BTW: Whitaker is brilliantly menacing as Idi Amin.

You gotta pick a country that can't argue with you. Austria-Hungary can't tell me I'm not the emperor.

Fair enough. Why not, after all?

I'd like to see that link. I know he styled himself King of Scotland but I don't think he ever claimed to be king of England.

My favourite joke about him was some comedian had him sitting at his desk, with a sign that says AMIN and when he reversed it it said AM OUT.

He can't write new laws without the Politburo etc etc basically yes he's a dictator as we see it but officially he is an elected (!) president.

In any case, the main thrust of my argument there (not that it did any good and even you cherry-picked the bit you could contradict me on and ignored the rest) is that Putin, dictator or not, does not want what's good for Russia. He couldn't give two ****s about Russia. He wants what's good for him and his ego.

Kinda like north Korea calls themselves the democratic peoples republic of Korea? That must mean they are a democracy right....

Catch up. I've already ceded the point to Norg. It's the rest that's important anyway, which you have once again ignored. Not that I'm surprised.
