Yeah, it's pretty disappointing.
I read some of this about him around a year ago.
Wanted to believe it was kind of a fluke, but apparently not.
I met him in a Munich music store a few years ago and he
never give me the impression that his elevator didn't go to the top.

I suppose that story is a reminder that there's no reason to suppose that a musician is going to be astute about politics or science. Same goes for other celebs; we admire them for one thing and like to hope they are all-round admirable people.

funny... I remember being interested in Lynn Margulis years ago cause she was an avocate of the role of what she called symbiogenesis in the evolution of certain organelles. Basically the idea was that said organelles originated as symbiotic organisms that eventually merged with the host they inhabited. Didn't know she was also an Aids denier lol

The first time I visited Chicago, I was driving on I-90 late on a Friday night in early October and took a wrong exit and wound up in the South Side. I realized my mistake even before I got to the end of the ramp. Definitely didn't look like an area I'd want to be spending any time in. Especially late on a Friday night.
