Dozens Die in Ethnic Massacre in Troubled Ethiopian Region

They’re not up to American levels of gun violence mass murders on the regular but it’s still really ****ed. I’d hate to see them become the America of Africa.

I don't know much about Ethiopia specifically, but yeah, this violence based on tribe and ethnicity is the worst: it will always have a greater proportion of innocent victims because the violence is focused on what people look like. That poor little kid in the street is a victim, just because of his skin complexion. :(

With political violence, it's often different: you can't tell if a guy is Catholic/Protestant/Dem or Republican unless he puts on a badge and turns up at a rally - and most mum's are likely to keep their kids and grandpa's at home.
