Nah, Trump is suggesting that the reason that Biden did much better in his last primary debate was some kind of drug that he's taking. I think Trump is on drugs too - but because he knows the Dems will completely balk at the idea of a drug test before the debates (if there even are debates), it's an easy optics victory for him.

Of course that's how they'll frame it - that's politics. I've only been watching the highlights though and I haven't seen the RNC speakers talk about Covid at all. Just like the DNC speakers I saw didn't talk about the riots.

I highly doubt it. Like I said, I think he knows they won't agree to do it - but he's not saying that it's a requirement for him to debate. He just wants them to publicly refuse to do it so he can get a cheap optics victory and (as unlikely as it might seem) if Biden actually does really well in the debates, Trump can claim that it's because he's taking some kind of drug and on those grounds, it was an unfair debate (typical Trump whining)
