Functionally it's the same as just not supporting gun control.

I'm beyond disgusted at this point. I don't think I've felt this feeling before. I'm past my tipping point. I also saw a photo of LA police right after they shot a homeless man in a wheelchair in the face with a rubber bullet. Here's the photo...

Some interesting polls

64% of Americans sympathize with the protests in general
https://news.trust.org/item/20200602213748-a24t2/

54% say burning down police station was justified
https://www.newsweek.com/54-american...floyds-1508452

58% support using the military to assist police
https://www.forbes.com/sites/nichola...ts-poll-finds/

So a majority supports the protests and even some level of selective violence but also wants a military crackdown

There’s going to be people, like me, who have contradictory opinions and don’t care and two there are people who just want America to ****ing lose in general.

The masses can do it. The military can do it. Trump can do it. It can be a civil war or endless disorder or a race war or an economic collapse or a pandemic. Poll wording matters a lot but there’s a certain amount of people with an unaccounted for nihilism. Anyone who’s ready to blow their own brains out, for example, probably doesn’t love his environment either.

According to the poll, 17 percent said the actions were fully justified and 37 percent said partially justified, for a total of 54 percent.

They're different polls with limited sample sizes and those percentages seem to lump together those who somewhat and fully support or oppose x. The police station fire one says that "38 percent said that the action was not at all justified" while the martial law article says that "33% of the 1,624 respondents saying they’d “strongly support” it" which is a pretty close overlap.

The bulk of people from all of those polls are in the camp of "somewhat" supporting or opposing x because Americans are a bunch of marble-mouthed centrists.

I doubt they asked did you just want it to be as ****ed up and chaotic as possible. So they don’t know about that demographic.
