I'd say that, like many countries, America, despite its faults, has a lot to be proud of. Not sure that Anteater has done an accurate job though:-

movies - came out of France with the Lumiére Bros and Georges Méliés
Internet - usually credited to this guy, though as befits the invention itself, many countries contributed to the prelim developments that made it possible:-

but jazz, yes, blues, yes, rock'n'roll, yes.

Outside of music, one of America's virtues is the ability to throw money and resources at something. To me they deserve credit for helping out the Brits in WWII and then rebuilding Europe with The Marshall Plan. Plus the whole man-on-the-moon thing, which was a spectacular milestone, even if it didn't produce much obvious benefit.

^ Nice bit of victim-blaming, jwb! You forgot to post about how rape victims are asking for it.

They did. Then they left. Seemed like the smart decision at the time I'm sure.

Plenty of non-blanket genocide going around, Cletus.

100% about crafting a world under US control where no country could fall to the pesky communists and their talk of self-determination

Lol stop being a little bitch. Circumstances aside, America still birthed jazz. As in, it wouldn't exist today without those circumstances. Did Europe or any other country have a jazz tradition before the U.S.? No.

I missed an obvious one a few pages back too - electricity. America <3
