^ That news item really has "Can't Believe That" status. It's just incredible, but also scary. Especially the bit where they say, "...scientists sliced into one robot, it healed itself and kept moving". In reality, that happened on a micro-scale, but also happens a lot in Terminator 2
![]() __________________________________________________ _____________________________________ Also hard to believe: It's official -the USA is more corrupt than the Ukraine. Anyway, that is my take away from these bare facts: > Cellphone records emerge indicating that US citizens linked to Trump have been involved in stalking US ambassador Yovanovitch. > Secretary of State Pompeo says nothing to defend a member of his department, who has been accused of nothing apart from doing her job conscientiously. > Head of DOJ, Barr, is implicated as a team member of officials who, at a minimum, turned a blind eye to the whole "get Yovanovitch" conspiracy. > Barr says nothing, does nothing. > Ukraine launches investigation. > Barr and Pompeo continue in office despite their blatant dereliction of duty.

That America still hangs on to the threads of the myth of moral superiority is hard to believe. No offense intended.

The US needs to stop interfering with other countries’ elections.
The ****ing arrogance of America, especially since it’s nothing but a steaming pile of ****, is really something.

I've been watching an excellent documentary series about the Vietnam War on Netflix (highly recommended) and learnt how that quagmire of misery got started because the US decided to back the colonial ambitions of former-ally, France, and refused to entertain the idea of self-determination for the Vietnamese people. In hindsight, the US put themselves on the wrong side at the outset - but nobody could imagine just how much sh*t their position would unleash.

More surprised that they weren't hip to that yet than that they're being sued. After more or less running out of brick and mortar shops to target, ADA lawyers started going after websites that have low text contrast, don't tag their images with alt text, don't have closed captions, don't have responsive websites, and other really fickle things. If you have a big site or if you're in a heavily regulated field like finance or healthcare, then you're more than likely going to be a target for those lawyers.
