So what would you attribute as the cause of the rise in numbers of people who are incels? Assuming I'm remembering correctly that the numbers are on the rise. I'm gonna start looking for the studies I saw which suggested this.

Cause maybe to you the internet can't lure you away from irl dating but that's not necessarily true of everyone.

OK I will look for the studies cause from what I remember it's a rise in the % of people who are involuntarily celibate not just a rise terrorists or online agitators.

The common threads among incels are low self-esteem and lack of self awareness. I'd say it's a mental health and unsuccessful socialization issue. The internet contributes to the tribalism, which is where the danger comes from, but it is not the cause of the behaviors.
