Well at least you got one thing correct. Thank you.

Talking about the realities of race doesn't mean they're fine. You just can't do anything about them in the present. Which is why I cited the studies that I did in the first place to showcase that.

I mean, I don't think taxes are fine when I know a big chunk of my money is just going overseas to kill people, but the change is going to have to come from somebody above my paygrade.

I don't think that is a passable excuse. Not just for white supremacy but any form of racial supremacy. And yes, when you said that you are defending white supremacy. I'm definitely not against diversifying our country, but I don't think we should have to in order to get over racial biases.

Edit: Look how far we've already come. We can do better.

He never said white supremacy is ok.

To me it sounds like he’s saying the majority often mistreats the minority. That seems like a reasonable assessment of human behavior. If you make the inference from that he’s defending white supremacy I’d say it is fair to take a jab at your reading skills.

Good grief.

Do you really need a qualifier for that? Why do you have to reach for the least generous interpretation of his words as possible?

He is saying it in response to people who think white supremacy is a problem. Context is everything. It's like the all lives matter thing. Yes we all know all lives matter and we all know that majorities tend to mistreat minorities. But using that as a response completely changes the context. The same way ALM is trying to devalue BLM's message he's saying it to demean the idea that white supremacy is a problem.

I shouldn't have to explain this to you OH.

Define "whataboutism", because you aren't using it correctly. I don't talk about other things as a form of deflection to say "X did it first so we should excuse Y" (Hillary to Trump or whatnot). I make comparisons as illustrations to discuss a larger related point, whether that's about how media organizations approach whatever the subject is, an economic or data-driven angle, whatever.

We can do better, but we also live in a world driven by scarcity, massive upheavals in society due to things like automation, etc. Look at what OH said before about the demographics of the south lately compared to San Francisco. There are realities about human nature that need to be addressed if you actually want to position yourself as any kind of problem solver (however you plan or desire to contribute).

Show, don't tell. Usually because telling espouses a lack of self awareness.

Texas governor signs controversial 'Save Chick-fil-A' bill

Quote:

The measure prohibits the government from taking "adverse action" against any individuals or businesses based on membership, support or donations to religious groups.
Finally, Texans can join ISIS without repercussions!

Does that mean John Walker Lindh is getting a full pardon?

U.S. Assists Oil Tankers Near Iran After Attacks

Quote:

Damage to one of the ships was extensive, including a fire and a hole at the water line that was consistent with a hit by a torpedo or other projectile, according to early assessments.
The Japanese government said the other ship, operated by a Japanese company, sustained multiple attacks, including at least one hit from an unidentified projectile. Both ships were carrying crude oil products headed for Asia.
U.S. Naval Forces Central Command in Bahrain, which oversees U.S. naval operations in the region, received two distress calls about the attacks on the tankers in the Gulf of Oman
