How? Why? WHAT?

Happens all the time in those wild Evangelical churches.
I went to a church as a kid where that happened a lot. Someone would just start laughing and it spread. You don't know what you're laughing at or why, but it's as unavoidable as yawn contagion.
Preachers like to call it being "drunk in the holy spirit", but I'm leaning more toward a psychological phenomenon...

That reminds me of this recent video where two women do an experiment to see if their laughter is catching in a public place:



Fairly certain these people weren't drinking any holy spirit.
