There are a lot of problems with Islam. Painting the whole with the terrorism enacted by the minority of its followers overshadows those legitimate issues.

The church hierarchy is the defining feature of the sect.

It's literally inseparable from Catholicism; the idea that people can only communicate with god through the institution of the church.
