Thank you. That's some bull****. Not surprising but still upsetting.

What’s bull**** is the ****ing witch hunt on people who make pain killers and claiming there’s an opioid epidemic when nicotine products killed ten times as many people as opioids last year.

This is about delivering fentanyl to cancer patients. It’s a ****ing godsend not a crime.

He definitely has an ideology of some kind beyond "I want more money": there just isn't a particularly accurate political label for it. Just remember that Trump has always believed that he had all the answers (especially on trade), just that he professed them with better vocabulary as a younger guy. Going back a few decades, he's given some surprisingly consistent answers in regards to issues he was passionate about.

there are no answers in these clips, and no ideology other than a vague espousing of fascist tendencies, that America just needs someone to come in and chest puff

we're talking about a guy who still doesn't understand what a trade deficit is

Eh, everything in politics is about establishing something like a cult of personality. JFK, FDR, Reagan, Obama, even Lincoln all told America at one point or another something along the lines of "I'm the guy with all the answers". Doesn't mean any of them actually did, but most of them are remembered better in retrospect than they were at the time of their actual presidencies.

I'm sure if you tried you could even come up with something nice to say about Nixon.

It's because our current system doesn't cater to skills or innovation. It caters to sociopaths and sociopaths are really good at convincing people they have all the answers.

Ninetales 01-21-2019 09:01 AM

what exactly would a system that "caters to skill or innovation" look like?

The Batlord 01-21-2019 09:28 AM

Whatever your masters say it does.

Just wait til Google births the God AI and the Singularity passes. You'll have all the "freedom" and "human rights" you can stand.
