I think if you Preview the post and then delete the video it does the same thing. As much as I like the bigger videos this new embed system is a pain in the ass at times. I can't post embedded playlists anymore.

His method wasn't that crazy. URL shortening has been around for awhile and is pretty commonly used. If someone didn't know about YouTube's integrated link shortening system or whatever you're talking about Bit.ly's not that surprising of a go-to for getting around auto-embedding.

At least he's not using Adf.ly.
