Harry Kane and Gareth Southgate both getting MBEs. Seen people crying about this. It's deserved.
Sir Harry Edward Kane. It's going to happen. |
I'd say that your insistence on saying "Sir" every time you mention that guy is pretty English nationalist of you. I would say that but as you haven't responded to one of my posts in weeks I think you've put me on ignore like a vag.

Together with the woobly-looking letters of the title, whoever signed off on that as a decent album cover should consider a different career path. |
If you clicked on the link about people who declined the MBE, you'll come to Alan Bennett, and if his is a new name to you, you're missing out on a unique treasure of popular British culture. For a two-minute glimpse into this man's unpretentious world view, listen to him read from his own diary, in which he wrote down his impressions of Love Island, of all things:-
EDIT: OK, here's one more... Alan Bennett is talking about how he looks into his own past to choose names for the characters in his writing:- |

So, something strange is going on in the skies.
A mile-wide object was seen in the skies over Kenner, Louisiana. It caused insane electrical interference and phenomena. It exploded transformers and electrical devices. Multi-colored lights and beams were seen shooting down to the ground and frying electrical cables. A similar thing happened in Long Island City and Astoria, New York, followed by widespread power outages in California. The power outages shut down airports and subways in New York. Here is a video from Astoria, New York, showing strange light formations and flashes in the sky around the time of the event: https://www.facebook.com/bittersweet...27040134260456 Internet users also report this strange phenomena in Brooklyn, New York and Charlotte, North Carolina. |
Hey cool! An arc flash in New York.
Pretty rare event. As for Kenner, that’s par when you have an aging infrastructure that’s neglected due to lack of funds (and, sometimes, just plain laziness). |
