Not for me. I'm all good.
You’re uncomfortable with breaking free from the mental slavery that is harmful allegiance to your tribe. That’s why you can’t see things from the perspective of the innocent civilians America murdered. Having perspective is having the understanding that it’s as unconscionable as murdering your daughter. Someone told me to do it doesn’t get you a pass. So again, and again, **** the US military.

Sure thing, manchild! I have downtime at work today, so I can stick around.

Anyways, the united states military is currently occupying over 150 countries! Wow! I bet you can't find even 10% of that much local honour in other countries.

Provided that the mayor of the town asked him to go to that house with his machete, it's a fair analogy of war.

We'd have to assume he either got some convincing arguments for why it would totally be a good idea. Or maybe he didn't much think about it but just wanted to serve the mayor of the town (? - never mind, just go with it) with hopes of gaining some socially elevated status or something like "honor"/"glory"/"respect".

Either way, some responsibility is on him for agreeing to the act, even if he'd perhaps have been put in trouble if he didn't agree.

Just imagine if all potential conscripts worldwide chose the path of civil disobedience (not an original thought, but it puts things into perspective when thinking about how wars are even possible to carry out). Like Henry David Thoreau refused to pay his taxes because they went into fueling a war effort. He willingly went to prison for that. It sucks, but perhaps the only ethically defensible course of action is one that would put one at odds with the government.

Problem in the last 70 years though is that there were SO MANY other choices and we chose to go kill people. That I'm against.

It is definitely more complicated, but at its core it's all naivete and dickwaving.
