(sorry Lisna, I know you were trying to avoid this)
You mean when he was a prisoner of war and got tortured and put into solitary confinement? Just making sure we're talking about the same guy.

No. That's not what I'm saying. He stood up for American values more than most Republicans do more times than not. That's what I respect.

American values like going into a country to kill its citizens? Or like becoming a prisoner of war for that and getting tortured and put into solitary confinement?

Hindsight is always a ****ing blast. You and Frowny are drowning in it. Yay!

War sucks. Some wars suck more than others. The Vietnam war was the USA's worst decision of my lifetime.

Doesn't take a ****ing thing away from the kids, who decades ago, signed up and risked their lives for the "politically approved message" of what the mission was about. Kids died in WWI and WWII for the same reasons.

Does McCain deserve disrespect for following orders from the Commander in Chief, at the time of his service? You ****s are pointing your BS in the wrong place.

Put it all on Nixon and Johnson and congress regarding the Vietnam War.

Snarky comebacks from the likes of Frowny in 5... 4... 3... 2...

Well, you have to respect that after experiencing the horrors of war firsthand he became a staunch pacifist.
Oh, wait. No he didn't. He kept pushing for more people to be sent overseas for some nice murdering.
