I couldn't ever imagine that kind of behavior among my own countrymen, even if people who vote for the completely opposing parties met in the same room. A basic sense of tolerance and respect seems to be missing in the US - or at least to be somewhat diminishing... thoughts from any US residents?
Suppose Russia goes Ukraine on Scandinavia. And Denmark is split 50/50 pro-Russia and anti-Russia. Sounds insane, doesn’t it? We’re living in strange times here and it might just get hella crazier

The amount of scary scenarios that could actually happen is huge. It's not that long ago that a Russian diplomat threatened Denmark with the fact that they could nuke Copenhagen if they wanted to.

My name is Chula Vista, and I endorse this message.

What to do? Except just get drunk and hope for better times, of course.

Sadly, I can't be in the top 5 myself. Calling almost all members on the site a douche kinda makes me one myself.
Don't be so hard on yourself.
Apart from your ****ty taste in music and your interest in something as lame as computer games you're a great and cool guy.

I think something happened when Clinton was elected. Before that, the US was reasonably civil despite some major disagreements. The right's hatred of Clinton for other than political reasons, I think, began the dysfunction. It only got worse when Newt Gingrich became Speaker of the House, giving the Left someone to hate. It seemed more important for both parties to stay in power than doing anything constructive. After Clinton, venom from the left would be thrown towards Bush, mostly because of the ill advised Iraq War, and the right outdid themselves with Obama who unwittingly proved simply by the color of his skin that racism indeed still exists in America. The hatred towards him made the hatred towards Clinton look like a minor squabble. Now we have Trump who knows as much about politics as the Upper Class Twit of the Year. In any event, all we're capable of doing now is demonizing each other on Facebook. It doesn't make for a bright future.

It's a shame that this is a music forum, then. Not to mention how I can't even get along with other loser gamers since my tastes in games suck as well. I feel like an outsider among outsiders no matter where I go! Argh! I'm moving to Tibet.

Really nice of you to say that though. I'm feeling slightly less lame for a second or two.

You misunderstood me.
Games generally are kinda lame so you're not worse than the other gamers, you're just as lame as them all.
Better?

Just annoying when all I want to do is read the story. Or not. I'll choose not. I keep getting these calls from *******s asking me if I'm ready to discuss how to make money by trading on the internet. They literally come out of nowhere, calls totally unsolicited and I always tell them not interested, but I'm betting one of these "click here to accept our conditions" ****s set them on me. So any I can avoid, I will.

I feel like you basically have a 10x worse situation than what's starting to become more and more apparent here in DK: That people are divided about the choice of right or left, while in reality, all of the politicians betray the people and are our enemies. We should all band together in protest against an establishment that increasingly is not in the employ of the people, but of the elite.
