Yeah may be a good idea to spoiler that image.

OK. Sorry.

It just haunts me and gives me an insight into my ****ing dirt-bag president, and his dirt-bag family, and his dirt-bag administration.

And the reality TV show I'm stuck living in. It's ****ing Jerry Springer 101 in US politics right now. And his 35% base loves every second of it.

Yeah I know. I feel ya. I'm not getting at you, it's just we've seen it before and every time I see it I want to take that ****ing knife and plunge it into that smiling rich kid ****'s heart.

Trump tends to make people anxious. Totally justified, Chula. The picture was my only complaint. You didn't have to remove it though :[ just spoiler it. Oh well.

^ Did you hear about how Mitch McConnell set a precedent in 2016: he led the senate in blocking Obama's Supreme Court pick because 2016 was an election year, and said McConnell, we should hear from the American people first before we let the Pres choose a judge. So that nom was pushed to after the election....

I'm hoping the Dems will make the most of the parallel between that decision and 2018 - plus they only need 1 Republican to defect and Trump's choice can be rejected ( or so says Rachel Maddow.)

Oh, you mean Rachel Maddow, the smug little twit that bragged about the Republican party being in the wilderness and laughing at the Tea Party movement in 2009-2010? Sorry, but she's a joke.

And they actually need two Republicans if McCain comes back from his sickbed. Then again, McCain could put country first again like he often does. I don't think abortion is his red button issue.

We're not allowed to laugh at the Tea Party? Is it because it's wrong to mock the mentally challenged?

Like when he made Sarah Palin his VP candidate as a cheap ploy to appeal to women? Or the time he tried to get us to go to war with Russia over Georgia?

**** him.

No, but this was before the Tea Party took over congress. Bet she wasn't laughing when they got elected. Sorry, I'm a lefty, but I just can't take Maddow very seriously.

The McCain campaign wasn't one of the better ones, was it? He had horrible staff. And, no, I don't agree with him very much. He is something of a Nationalist. But at least he has principles which is more than I can say for most of congress.

Keep an eye on Susan Collins (stop looking at her butt, Batlord). She's the one Republican that might stand up to the far right. Also, it is an election year so the Republicans have to be careful if they want to keep the Senate. Yes, the Dems are defending 25 of the 33 seats up for grabs but stranger things have happened.

^ ;) How sad if the honeymoon is over and me and rubber soul have our first difference of opinion. :(

Yes, Rachel Maddow has some annoying characteristics but I like the way she digs back into the past to show the precedents, parallels and background to today's political stories. If there's an alternative cable news prog with the same approach, I'll happily change allegiance from RM. I promise that she means nothing to me, rubber soul; you know it's only you I care about

LOL

No, I was watching Olbermann in the late Aughts and was even a fan of his. I even liked Rachel Maddow even as she was predicting the end of the Republican Party and was joining in on the tea bagging insults. She is insightful, true, but I wish she would have taken the Tea Party movement a little more seriously. I can only hope Rush Limbaugh is doing the same with the Progressive movement and it ends up blowing up in his face.
