I think I said last time we had this discussion, they should be allowed to reject people for whatever they want. Let all businesses stand or fall on their own. However, I understand why there is legislation around it, and I think it makes for a better society.

Of course it wouldn't be f*cking all right by me. If I lived in Colorado I'd drive to that cake shop and take a big steamer on their front porch. I said from the beginning that the guy needs to die with his sh*tty archaic belief systems.
I entered the conversation responding to the ruling of the court itself. The court doesn't make emotional judgement calls. They enact the law. The laws in this country suck beaver. The court made the right call even though it's a bit murky when you look deeper. It's a fragile case. There are arguments on both sides. It's possible to 100% disagree ethically with a decision or rule and still admit that the rule exists. Step two, make the rule not exist. And the more I read about this case makes me realize that this wasn't so much a decision AGAINST LGBT by the Supreme Court as a whole but rather a very specific reaction to one singular case. The lawyers for thisl couple didn't particularly do a great job here. |
