Random attacks yes. Trying to rob them. One was a 69 year old man.

And yes it won't be 10 years. Prison time works out relatively low here. With all the reductions and applications for release, I make it 38 months when he could be out.

So just over three years inside. 6 months per victim!

If that were my 69 mother or grandmother I would definitely get revenge or die trying.

Telford grooming 'tip of the iceberg', says solicitor - BBC News

This was bad. 'Tip of the iceberg'.

A Sunday Mirror investigation said the scale of sexual exploitation in Telford made it the UK's "worst-ever child grooming scandal".

The paper claimed abuse in the town has been widespread since 1980, when it began with "groups of mainly Asian men" targeting vulnerable white teenagers.

Mr Afzal led several prosecutions concerning offences in Telford, including one against two brothers convicted of trafficking girls for sex.

Speaking on the Victoria Derbyshire programme, he said: "I prosecuted, when I led nationally, the Telford original issue, I knew then that this was a bigger issue not just in Telford but everywhere."

I am all for rehabilitation and offenders being given a second chance and trying to hold back on the heavy handedness especially given the current state of UK prisons but this just seems ludicrous to me.

He plead guilty, was a minor, and had a good lawyer. I'm not very surprised.

I don't know where you're coming from with this, Hawk. The judge is constrained by the law, and the **** is under the legal age recognised as an adult in the UK (18) so he HAS to be charged as a juve, no matter what the judge may or may not want to do. It's not his fault, it's that of the system.
