Wtf man. My friend's aunt is one of the hostages. We're all watching this closely, it sounds personal. My bf also works at a state facility and got some info that there was a going away party planned for today, and the suspect kept three hostages while letting the rest go. Swat is on the scene but there's not much else info yet.

Edit: the hostages are the director of the center's PTSD program, a psychologist, and a clinical worker who all treated and released the suspect two weeks ago.

Yeah, first shots were fired at an officer around 10:30am, no injuries reported though (except for someone being treated for a dog bite??? but it wasn't the suspect so idk). In the last couple hours the only reports have been about the fbi deploying swat and hostage negotiators arriving on the scene. Will update as we hear more, obviously hoping this can end with no injuries or death.

Not yet, waiting for a press conference scheduled for 5pm, so about 15mins from now.

It was very brief and didn't offer any new information. There has been no contact since 10:30am so they cannot confirm or deny whether the suspect or the hostages are still alive. So there's been no contact for 8 hours.

Yeah, lots of unconfirmed reports spreading through local news sources right now about multiple casualties. They just sent away medical choppers and half of their resources.
