It depends on what we're referring to by "so bad."

They paint Andrew Jackson up like one the greatest heros of all time. If you can make Jackson look good you can make Trump look good. Time isn’t being so kind to Nixon, however. Hopefully, Trump will just be a curious footnote. So far, besides being a character, his record on climate change is probably the most damning but that was happening with him or without him.

It’s hard to say but right now I think the most important historical factor of this era might be a dangerous and disproportionate anti-Russian sentiment among Trump’s opposition.

Those spooky Russians meddling with our precious democracy. After years of yammering about it and Trump forever unaffected what happens to our anger?

Politics became too much of a watercooler discussion under Trump's presidency for it to get too lopsided imo.

My surface level google search didn't turn up much, but how controversial was the Trail of Tears at the time?

TBH I don't think anyone gives the slightest **** about Andrew Jackson. Racist presidents before the Civil War get a pass, and no one bothers with the period between the Revolutionary and Civil War. The only thing he'll ever be remembered for is the Trail of Tears, so anyone who knows anything about him beyond the $20 bill will still think vaguely poorly of him.

Maybe the next presidents will be even more ridiculous asshats and Trump will pale in comparison.

I had people at work ask me because I was white if I'd support Oprah for president. I don't remember what I said but I imagine I wasn't trying to get into a stupid argument with stupid people who'd vote for a talk show host. Just wait. It might happen.

Of course you'd vote for her. White people love Oprah.
