You're not getting it. A very small percentage of hate crimes will ever be recognized. It's ridiculous to enforce it.

Yeah you're not the one getting it. If they're not recognized because there's no substantial evidence then guess what? They don't get punished for it, its how the American justice system works. It's never going to be perfect.

You still don't get it. Hate crimes are much harder to prosecute than normal crimes, and like you said the justice system has enough on their plate without trying to to extend people's sentences because of their motives for a crime.

IF THEY DON'T HAVE SUFFICIENT EVIDENCE TO PUNISH YOU FOR A HATE CRIME, THEY DON'T PUNISH YOU FOR IT. IS THIS TOO HARD FOR YOU TO GRASP?

Also the last part of your post made me laugh, I can't believe you'd even imply a lazy Judiciary system would be a good thing.

Wtf? Are you joking? Are you purposefully misreading my post? Read my post again.

No I'm not you said "justice system has enough on their plate without trying to to extend people's sentences because of their motives for a crime." Which is basically you saying because they have too much on their plates (something I can't recall me saying) they shouldn't do the full case, which is laziness.

ProggyMan 04-13-2008 09:14 PM

That's not what I was responding to. I wasn't serious about that anyway.

sleepy jack 04-13-2008 09:19 PM

Of course you weren't.

ProggyMan 04-13-2008 09:26 PM
