Yah, but in a lot of cases there's no real evidence.

Freedom of expression means you expressed it and if the thing you're expressing is racial violence than yeah thats illegal. You're really not making any sense. They're not taking away your freedom of expression because they aren't going to let you kill in the name of racial or religious hatred.

If there's no evidence they can't charge you with committing a hate crime. Maybe you should research topics before trying to have an opinion on them.

That's not what I was talking about. I'm saying people are allowed to voice their opinion and think whatever they want about a race/gender etc.

This is my point. Most hate crimes that are committed there's no evidence for.

"Man commits premeditated murder against another man"
sounds no better than
"White kills black"

Freedom of expression means expressing it which is pretty broad seeing as it can go from a simple "I hate" to killing someone.

Can you back this up? If it's a a problem then it's not a problem with hate crimes it's a problem with the Judiciary system.

Agreed, there's no difference between "Man kills man found cheating on wife" isn't as bad as "Man killed man just because he was black."
