Forests are also important stores of organic carbon, and forests can extract carbon dioxide and pollutants from the air, thus contributing to biosphere stability and relevant to the greenhouse effect. So when trees are cut down this stabilization and storing isn't so much anymore, causing much more CO2 to be released in the atmosphere.

Also the cutting/burning down of all the trees allows the previous stored carbon (in CO2 form) to be released back into the atmosphere, and it is especially potent when more mature forests that have become "carbon sinks" are cut down.


But seriously, no more questions, comments, or concerns about trees, please.
