Global worming will make poverty 10x worse.. and will reduce the availability of resources which will, no doubt, result in more war. Doing nothing about it now, will just reverse the effects of everything else that is being done... and thats the way things are going at the moment.
We'll always have 'time' to 'mend' global warming, its not going to happen overnight, but in order to minimise the effects, major action must be taken NOW. the longer its left untouched, the worse its going to be. If Gore was president there migh be a chance of doing something about it... The social security of one country is not worth the consequences of global warming.

I never said that Global Warming had to do with one single thing. You just used trees as an example to make it seem like its nothing..you forgot about the heat waves like the one in europe that killed over 35,000 people..and the increase in size and strength of storms. Things that can effect us in the near future.

did you know the earth's magnetic poles are slowly switching again? That's going to really screw us over in the near future.
My point being that everything has the potential to effect in the near future, and everything is a lot. My opinion is that we just need to chose what is most pertinent to our immediate survival, like getting Bush out of office.

I thought the magnetic pole shift was natural. If it is, then we can't really do anything about it but adapt.
And chumb, thats the second best pwned picture I've ever seen. The best is this one with Jesus that I can't find anywhere now.

cutting down the tree uses alot of gas to cuase those like bulldozers get like 2 mile to that gallon and one tree can produce enough air to allow 5 people to breath in a concealed room

we do have a lot of it, but trees make up about 1/4 of the CO2 emmisions.
