Hopefully our government can focus on more than one issue at a time. I know bureaucracy is bad, but its not that bad.

I do agree, though, that for the most part human issues>environmental issues.

Of course environmental issues become human issues, but I believe we have more time to deal with global warming than we do to deal with the thousands of people being killed in Darfur. Those are just examples.

Still, our government can easily deal with multiple problems at a time, so we shouldn't have to prioritize.

what is your obsession with refering to global warming as being all about trees? if you actually looked into what the problem is you might know what your talking about. the way your labeling al gore as a "tree hugger" and only caring about the enviroment is a poor generalisation and is very simple minded. if he was president he isnt going to ignore other issues, just because he has strong views on one subject doesnt mean he doesnt pay attention to others. if global warming isnt resolved, we wont be around to resolve other issues. half our other issues are as bad as they are cause bush is a stupid prick who couldnt answer the question of what colour is his shirt. having a president who doesnt deny the exsitence of global warming so he can protect his oil industries will be a big help to fixing the problem. how bush won over gore in the first place puzzles me

Well in 2000 Bush only won the election because the Supreme Court happened to have a Republican majority and decided to stop the recount in Florida. I don't see any point to stopping the recount, other than they wanted Bush to be president no matter how people voted. They couldn't just let the people decide and see how it played out. It was definately a ruling against democracy.

To save my self the hassle of explaining here's Wikipedia's rebuttal to your claim that trees don't have anything to do with global warming:

"The rest (1/4) of the anthropogenic emissions (excess CO2) are predominantly due to land-use change, especially deforestation."

And if you paid attention in 6th grade Science you learned about the Runaway Greenhouse effect and its relation with the excess of CO2, which I hope you understand and I don't need to explain it to you.



And I just said trees because I didn't feel the need to state all the reasons of global warming, like car pollution, aerosol, slash and burn, ect. It seemed like common knowledge and irreverent to the point I was making.
