I know your first reaction will be what the hell!! Where have you heard about global warming ?
Newspapers , TV ,The people around you etc . Basically the media . Have you ever wondered that media can be misleading sometimes . They just need a story ..and global warming gives them that ...
Leading scientists from MIT , Harvard , Oxford ,Yale , Princeton etc. have said that global warming is fake .
I'll give you some stats - (All stats are from the NASA Database)
In USA (the most developed country in the world) has risen 0.3 C .Not too dramatic eh?
Antartica has become colder by 0.7 C in the last 30 years .
Yes the Antartic Peninsula has been melting ..... but did they tell you that it has been melting for the last 6,000 years and did they tell you that Antartic Peninsula forms only two percent of the landmass .
The year 1934 was the hottest year of the 20th century .odd eh?
This has been the coldest interglacial yet. (Interglacial means the period between two ice ages). We are almost due for our next ICE AGE!!

That's that - Man can't predict tomorrow's weather how the hell do you expect him to be right about the weather 10years later .
More focus should be put on research then these global warming awareness campaigns . That's my point of view .

well thats your view but its still wrong. did you get that stuff from the internet? its the internet, it could be faked easily. most scientists say that its a reality and the goverment has been trying to shut them up for a while now, still saying its a debate if it exsists or not etc. so that they can save their oil and coal industries. yes Antartic Peninsula has melted in little bits over the years but its getting so warm it cant reform and its melting rate has increased. and the Antartic Peninsula isnt the only place made of ice. what your failing to metion is global warming is also giving us worse storms and flood causing us to evacuate certain areas. its a such a problem now, saying its a farce or whatever wont make it go away

et me clear some things first -
hurricanes have been creating havoc since a long time ,its just that its getting reported now .
and you say that your personal experience tells that global warming is happening .
Tell me friend have you ever been caught in a hurricane/typhoon? no i guess?
The media informs u abt them and they also say that it is because of global warming .Let me give you a stat -
The number of hurricanes per year in 1900 was 34 .
The number of hurricanes per year in 2000 was 7 .
You decide .
Ans your saying its getting hotter because you live in the city ... its called the land heating effect .Go do some research and then talk to me .

i didnt say it was from personal experience. i said they are getting worse not they are just start to get reported now (thats stupid). living in the city has hardly anything to do with it getting hotter, there are isolated place where its hotter then the city. please read my post properly before you post back

Dude what i am angry about is that instead of spending money on global warming prevention we should use it for environmental protection -
What i am trying to prove is that no matter how much CO2 we emit its not going to make a ****ing difference . So instead of spending money on global warming there are more important issues to be addressed like -
Making drinking water available .
Fighting poverty .
These are much more important .

I totally for environment protection! but not for protection against a threat that does not exist !

Drinking water isn't much of an issue in the richest countries, which are leading the global warming debate. And fighting poverty implies closing the rich-poor divide, which isn't necessarily something that the rich and powerful want because then they lose their edge, or just the satisfaction of being really rich.

Purely enviornmental issues are in some ways morally easier to push because the actual objectives (stop ocean levels rising, improve air-quality, maintain biodiversity) are ones which most people would agree with, at worst they'd just be indifferent. The ways to achieve these objectives have many problems, hindering industrial development and modes of transport, but the end result is desirable for everybody.

Issues with a more human aspect can be more difficult because however many people would benefit if the objective were achieved, there would be some people who will be worse of, or at least feel like they were worse off. Better access to education, healthcare, jobs etc. benefits those who don't have it at the moment but it can be bad for those who already have it and those people tend to be the most powerful.

I think you get what I'm trying to say and I've already laboured the point a bit.

You really need to reference that. You didn't make it up?

i get where your coming from with the money spending, just because global warming is a big issue doesnt mean all the money is going to be spent on that. how much is spent really depends on who the next president is etc.

but the denying it exsits? it does exsit, thats the blunt truth and its something we have to fix starting like now (should of started ages ago). How much CO2 that is emitted is a major part of this, it makes a massive difference. What some people dont know is that methane also contributes to a large amount of global warming. Methanes main source is from animal agriculture, which makes it even worse because thats a large part of any economy. it will still happen if you deny it or not, which is why its such a big issue and something must be done

Just for kicks has been on the dot the whole time....as well as the fact that the increasing amount C02 is making the earth hotter it is also destroying our atmosphere, there is a hole in the atmosphere, early hopes were that it would slowly disappear...these were wrong...according to the documents i have read the hole stayed bascially the same for a period of time floating over the Antarctic while scientists hoped it would go away...then it got worse and the cause of this C02 coming from all our disgusting factories that pour out smoke!...and in case you didnt realise before the hole is over the ANTARCTIC!!...the part made of ice....when there is no ozone layer there to slow down the sunrays there is more heat put on to the ice therefore melting it quicker and therefore making the sea level rise...if the americans had voted in Al Gore in stead of George Bush something would have been done quicker and the future would almost certainly be a better place.....

The ozone layer, which you're referring to as "the hole in the atmosphere", is not caused by rising CO2 levels. The ozone layer was caused by the presence of CFCs in the upper levels of the atmosphere (the stratosphere I think). CFCs are unreactive under normal ground-level conditions and were used as propellants or coolants in various products but when escaped CFCs reach the stratosphere there is a lot more high energy UV radiation which breaks the CFCs into radicals and some of these radicals can react with ozone, so the result is the loss of ozone from the stratosphere.

That is unconnected to CO2 levels.
